How Much freezer space will i need?

We get a lot of questions about freezer space needed. Here are some examples of freezers that we like. They also make stand-up freezers that are nice too but I'm personally partial to chest freezers. Deep freezers are great and preserve your food better! I've personally had chicken frozen for a year and not have any issues (with being vacuum-packed).

Home Depot and Lowe's have sales periodically on these and you can even find them on Facebook Marketplace. Below is the expected freezer space needed for your bulk beef.

Expected freezer space:

Quarter: 4 cubic feet

Half: 10 cubic feet

Whole: 20 cubic feet
